Thanks for joining and the suggestion. The site is still quite new, and due to alot of people being quite busy in the lead up to Xmas (myself included) i delayed kicking off the forum until New Years.

I've just got the site to popup at #9 for the term "Domain Forum" and around #10 for "Domain Name Forum" along with some smaller terms on Google.com which is starting to bring some traffic. As i get more content added it will help with other related terms also.

I have never been a fan of Adwords and PPC in general, however i might do what you said and setup a trial campaign and see how it goes. I also want to do some domain giveaways and referral contests, but this is more suited to when we get a few more members that can participate.

I'm just doing a Poll also on how people found iDomainSite, feel free to vote.

Edit: Also noticed alot of search engine referrals coming in for "Name Forum" which we are #8 from 101 Million Results.

oh my, 2 cents more...

Im looking at your, vb logo next to iDomainSite ...%$*&@# ya need a eye instead of vB.
or just drop the vB logo.

Agreed, i might knock something up sooner rather than later for the logo. I was going to hold off doing alot of the customizations until 3.7 goes Gold, but the logo won't cause any conflicts. I've been tweaking the board design offline so when 3.7 is finished it's just a matter of testing and possibly a few adjustments to put it up.

I'm also putting together a domain tool for the forum that does Whois, Domain Age, Backlinks, DMOZ, Yahoo, Google Dir etc so people can use to help evaluate names listed for sale.

Ok what do you think of the new look?

I completely scrapped the original design and built something more custom, i didn't want to go with another cookie cutter template so i decided to do one from the ground up.

I just wanted something very clean and simple so i feel the new look achieves that. There's still some tweaks to do until i get everything the way i want it but it's starting to grow on me already.

Oh yeah, another surprise was after i got it online i though "might check my code errors" and first shot perfect markup.

The new slogan is very hard to read and I know English.

I liked the last slogan but what you have in nice too.

That's how i intended it, basically looking like a signature.. Generally signatures are hard to read without looking at them closely.

Anyhow it says "The Domainers Community", after you know what it says it's stands out pretty clearly. My 60 year old mother knew what it said when i sent her the link, and she doesn't know what a domainer is.

What resolution monitor are you using, i tested it across all browsers but not all resolutions?

Hmm ok, i run Firefox but tested it in IE7 at that resolution. I will probably rework the header a bit more, it was a bit rushed because i done that last but i did make the slogan harder to read as it makes the iDomainSite pop out alot more.

But the logo needs to go up and to the left a bit, plus i want to do something with the white space on the right.
