As a staff member I have that problem also. This is a bug in the script and needs to be updated.
idomainsite is the Admin and does all the updates, at this time hes away for a few days, so please be patient.

My apologies about this, it was due to custom rewrites i done to have keyword URL's for the profiles which wasn't handling the "." in your name. Because a dot normally indicates an extension such as .zip, .exe and so on it was seeing everything after the dot in your name as a filetype extension.

However i have managed to fix it by changing the way the rewrites parse the dot, so you now have a working profile.

I have also just updated the site to the latest vB 3.7.2 Patch Level 1 so we are fully up to date.
