Default America.com is on auction

So... a great piece of America is for sale.

Do you think a business will be the high bidder?
Or could a Hate America group be the high bidder?

Check the auction out at sedo:

Thanks for the link, this one is going to be really interesting to watch.

Who's up for some guestimation?

I'm going to call 8 Million on this one, America.com is probably "the" ultimate geo domain and lends itself to any company that targets the US market.

I'd say a company is going to snap this one up.

Definately a business will buy that domain. I doubt any "hate america" group has enough funds to splash out a few mill on a domain name.

The price hasn't budged, it's still sitting on $1,050,000

All the big players are holding out and nobody wants to make a move, everyone is going to sit on this one until the final 6 hours or so.

I would have to guess this domain is worth 20 million...

I'm a bit surprised as of today, no bid above 1 million.

Yeah very strange, i'm surprised nobody has given it a nudge today.

Estimated end time: 0 day 20 hours 58 min.

Current Bid: 1,050,000 USD

It makes me want to throw a 1,055,000 bid on it to watch people scramble.

Its all hype. A million dollar reserve was announced before the auction started and then news came out that it would go for as much as 12million. I would not be surprised to see collusion with bidder number 3 and the owner. It will not go over the $1,050,000.00 mark. The Un-American domain owner was just looking to make a quick (lots a) bucks, get real!

I would like to see the US government buy America.com at that price.
