i receive notice today, status Active-locked and i was able to manage domain, and now its Pending Sunrise Activation - Unlocked (This domain was approved and locked by the .ME registry. This standard practice applies to all .ME domain registrations awarded during the Sunrise phase. The registry lock remains in effect through July 17, 2008 and could extend beyond that date at the discretion of the .ME registry)
whats happening?

then i send email to GoDaddy and they reply :" If you are not awarded the domains by the .me registry you will be refunded by us for the fees paid. "
but i was awarded... strange things with everything about .ME !

I think you need to wait a bit more (20 to 40 days) but you should watch the domain and your Godaddy emails.

Godaddy is not a bad registrar and is good at what they do, I dont think you have too much to worry about with Godaddy.com

I posted an article about this ongoing saga with the dot ME registrations with GoDaddy on my site at http://linkmoney.org/more-on-the-god...-me-me-fiasco/

Default dot ME worthless?

Agreed being new seems like this domain might not be too well recognized, but then again being so new they just "might" be very easy to promote, especially if you had a super key phrase that would be so easy to remember.

For instance for a couple of hours I had a receipt and then a seperate confirmation for, and owned tweet.me. Now with the popularity of Twitter.com that one seemed like a no brainer. I've actually seen that phrase in messages and heard the phrase coming from the Digerati.

Tweet.me was stolen from me by GoDaddy and put on their closed auction site. I tried to get a bidder number but no way, no how.

I still have not yet received my "one business day" or their second statement of "48 hours" return of my funds. This might turn out to be one of the largest mass fraud cases ever known.

I wonder how many millions of dollars GoDaddy took in knowing full well that the domains would be pulled away and resold at auction? Seems like they just make a pile of money on the interest of those funds. Would you call this fraud?

They are not going to break me. I only bought three .me domains, but it sure does tick me off.
