The website, named AfricanScholar.com, will bring together a host of resources for users to research what is on offer to African students across the world in terms of higher education and targeted resources.

Commenting on the launch, the service's founder and managing director Elias Mageto said that it was hoped that the easy-to-find site would be "a valuable tool for African students that want to find the right school and funds to match their career goals".
He added that parents and students alike would be able to better navigate "the sometimes complicated" issues relating to education admissions opportunities.
